WARBURTON AFFORDABLE HOUSING
COMMUNITY
Hastings on Hudson, NY
Fourteen one and two-bedroom units, many with Hudson River views, house income-eligible residents on a major bus line and within walking distance of the village center and the Metro North station. Slipped into a multi-family mixed-use community and employing green materials and geo-exchange heating and cooling, the project embodies principles of new urbanism and sustainable design. Parking is carved into a hillside that offers accessibility to upper level units; buildings are shaped to preserve neighbors’ views and present residential scale facades along the sidewalk, and a small, landscaped park at the corner bus stop serves residents and neighbors.
