Onderdonck-Tallman-Budke House

Heritage of West Nyack Fall Festival, restoration in progress

Clarkstown, NY

The Onderdonck-Tallman-Budke House, constructed in stages circa 1790s-1870s, is a fine example of the regional Jersey Dutch Stone House style. Its restoration allowed this formerly derelict building to take its place as an educational resource accessible to all in a well-used public park.

The preservation team worked closely with the Town Supervisor and representatives to identify priorities to ensure the work would follow the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, as well as meet the Town’s programming and budgetary goals.
